Is the Street Bob suitable for beginner riders or is it too heavy/powerful?

While the Street Bob has the classic cruiser look and strong torque, it is not the easiest choice for a true beginner rider. Key reasons:

* The kerb/running weight is about 293 kg (in “in-running order” spec) for the 2025 India version.

* The large displacement engine and high torque mean it can be physically heavy and more challenging at low speeds or city traffic.

* Its seat height is relatively low (≈ 680 mm) which helps, but the overall mass still presents handling considerations.

* If a rider is comfortable with heavier bikes, has some experience, and plans primarily for open roads rather than stop-and-go city traffic, then yes it’s manageable—but for a first bike, many riders might prefer something lighter.
